We welcome requests from Western community members and local community members for Indigenous programming, events, courses and special occasions.

Requests

Requests must align with the Wampum Learning Lodge’s Vision & Mission.

Availability

All bookings occur during regular business hours from Monday to Friday between 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Special Considerations

For special considerations or prior approval outside of regular hours, contact our Director, Paula Cornelius-Hedgepeth (phedgepe@uwo.ca).

Event Coordination

Booking a space at the Wampum Learning Lodge does not include event coordination services. The only exception is that our administrative assistants can assist with:

  • Booking a local Indigenous caterer
  • Managing parking passes (available for an additional cost)
If you need assistance with event coordination, please contact Catering & Conference Services.

Technology Requirements

A laptop is required for using the technology set-up in the gathering dome and classroom. If you plan to use the projector, please bring a laptop with HDMI compatibility. If you plan to use the camera and speaker system, please bring a laptop with USB compatibility. Adapters are not guaranteed.

MacBook users may experience more difficulty connecting to the A/V system. Please schedule additional time for potential troubleshooting.

Accessibility Information

If you are booking a space downstairs, please note:

  • The elevator is a small lift originally designed for library book carts and could not be modified during refurbishment.
  • Wheelchairs or scooters must use the accessible ramp through the outdoor classroom for entry to the lower level.
  • The Gathering Dome on the main floor is the most accessible space.
